Kelly Smith Technology Center

In 2011, Northside Independent School District, San Antonio’s largest public school district, purchased an existing 40,000 sq. ft. office building to be repurposed as the district’s technology center. KNRG Architects designed a master plan to meet immediate and future technology needs as the district grows. The brick façade, sheathing and windows were replaced meeting NISD standards for construction. The interior was transformed with improved mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems into a data center with open, flexible office spaces. Currently, the Kelly Smith Technology Center supports over 105,000 students and about 15,000 employees.
