Battle for Texas: The Experience

Battle for Texas, an interactive experience containing the largest collection of Texas artifacts in one location, is located in the basement of the old Joske’s department store at Rivercenter Mall.  KNRG Architects redesigned the interior of the basement to set an historic tone for this interactive attraction.  Meeting city codes for exits necessary for an assembly was addressed with wider door openings and better flow from the facility to the ground floor. Utilizing strategic lighting, path and flow in the 26,000 square foot space, the interior setting and the artifacts tell the story of the thirteen-day battle at the Alamo.
