The Palms Pet Resort & Spa

The Helotes based The Palms Pet Resort & Spa is family and veterinarian owned and operated providing large, airy indoor comforts and plenty of outdoor space for all furry and feathered pets. KNRG Architects designed a ground up, approximately 8,600 sq. ft. pet resort and spa specifically focusing on quality animal care. Durability of materials was of most importance. Building and finishing materials were intentionally chosen for ease of cleaning and for withstanding scratching, chewing and ‘accidents.’ Odor was also addressed by utilizing an air conditioning system with positive/negative pressure keeping the doggie aromas out of the entrance and other animal areas. Understanding that cats are very susceptible to airborne diseases, separate venting systems were employed for each area within the cattery. KNRG’s design incorporated specific solutions for each type of pet and its particular needs.
