O’Connor High School Ag Barn
The O’Connor Agriculture Science Program has provided education and training for students interested in agricultural careers since 1998. The NISD school namesake is Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first female Justice who served from 1981 to 2006. KNRG Architects designed many upgrades in the Ag area including: reworking existing livestock and swine pens to increase the number, adding walkways between pens, a medicated water system, an animal exercise yard, installing new radiant heaters, and the addition of a 700 sq. ft. classroom. Although construction time allowed for some work to be done during operation hours, these construction areas did not affect student learning or use. KNRG coordinated with campus officials to allow the Agriculture program to continuously meet student and stock show schedules.
