Rattlers Corner Store

The Rattlers Corner Store Chain, owned by Kolkhorst Petroleum Inc., began as Jim’s Food Mart in College Station in 1992. The 14 stores throughout central Texas were updated and renamed to Rattlers in 2005.  KNRG Architects designed a new retail development building, approximately 6,100 sq. ft., with Rattlers Corner Store as the anchor tenant.  The orientation of the building was previously determined by drainage obstacles on the site property.  The back and two sides of the building were visible from three different prime thorough fares.  Knowing the entire building would be on display, our architect team worked with the developer to ensure all sides of the building incorporated quaint country flare with canopies and natural stone pilasters blending with the surrounding community.
