DSI Dialysis – El Paso, Texas

KNRG Architects designed a prototypical plan for three renal dialysis clinics in Texas. DSI El Paso South Dialysis, one of the clinics, is a free standing clinic of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. This clinic accommodates sixteen dialysis stations, one isolation station and a home training room. The architect worked with the developer, the contractor and Texas Health and Human Services to ensure all regulations were followed for certification by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This particular project site is located at the base of a substantial hill. The slope of the site required a retaining wall behind the building. KNRG worked with the developer to capture the hill view as much as possible. Our team met the certification requirements and addressed the site slope within budget and on the developer’s schedule.
