Huppertz Elementary School

San Antonio ISD received Federal Grant money to build an outdoor innovative playground at Huppertz Elementary School.  The new playground  will serve as the hub for gathering students which will increase student  attendance and teach the core values of how to be Caring, how to be an effective Communicator, how to be a Problem Solver, and how to practice being Principled.  KNRG Architects coordinated with the Campus Administration to convert a portion of existing exterior field into an outdoor obstacle course oriented playground to accommodate older elementary age students. This innovative playground will encourage physical activity through friendly competition as well as the ability to be utilized as part of the school physical education curriculum.  Incorporated in the design is typical playground site amenities (outdoor seating space, playscape elements, poured in place rubberized fall surface, etc).  KNRG coordinated with the school officials to maintain an active campus during construction.
