Child Nutrition Warehouse Renovation

The NISD Child Nutrition Department provides nutritious, cost effective meals for the district’s more than 105,000 students and about 14,000 staff members. KNRG Architects designed the renovation of an existing, approximately 82,000 sq. ft. warehouse building.  The modified interior provided the NISD meal facility with administrative and support spaces, the addition of a freezer/cooler unit and food storage areas.  The design accommodated the need for doubling the freezer/cooling space in the existing area. KNRG worked with the contractor on the availability of some equipment and materials keeping the project on budget.
